The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch release date is just over a week away, which means review scores have started to trickle out.
Nintendo’s latest first-party Switch game has an April 28 release date, and judging by these review scores, it’s going to be an essential purchase.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe offers local wireless multiplayer for up to eight player and will include all the tracks and characters from the Wii U version, as well as DLC content.
Nintendo has also introduced a selection of new characters, including Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr.
Battle Mode has been revamped and includes Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast.
These launch with all-new courses such as Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium, as well as returning maps like Luigi’s Mansion and Battle Course 1.
It’s not radically different from the Wii U original, but the versatility of the Switch takes things to another level.
